Smart Slide Rule is an application that simulates a classic slide rule, featuring scales such as A, B, C, CI, D, S, L, T, and K. While a slide rule is a mechanical device based on logarithmic principles for performing calculations, this digital reproduction aims to provide an educational and nostalgic experience.
The visual presentation references its role in films like "Apollo 13" and "The Wind Rises," highlighting its cultural significance. The app displays the slide rule on your device screen, with the front side of the slide strip representing the B, C, and CI scales, and the reverse side showing the S, L, and T scales. Users can manipulate the slide strip and cursor to simulate traditional operations.
